@SilleeMee wrote:My income falls above most any of the limits set for state financial assistance...I already checked that out. Thanks. One of the specialists told me that with my income level I fall into what they call 'The Gap' where my income is too high to qualify for Medicaid yet not enough to pay for health insurance w/o having to make financial sacrifices elsewhere....it's sort of a bummer.
Check it out again because some limits might have been raised for 2021.

@BlueFinch wrote:@SilleeMee I have this situation with my trash collection. I set up automatic online payment. After the first payment, I then received a paper bill a few days later, looking as though I still owed the balance. I called them and was told there was no way to change this and to just discard the paper bills. What a waste of time and paper. I thought online was for efficiency. It might be the same with the Part B payment.
That is very frustrating and know exactly how that goes. I pay my Medicare bill online then later on I receive a paper bill in my mailbox! I have no idea what has been posted on my account and when that occurred. Medicare's website is the worst for keeping a current log of activity...the worst!

My DH had to pay for Medicare because he choose not to collect his SS at age 65. He first got paper bills, but I changed it to be deducted from his checking account automactly.
There was info on the back of his bill. I had to send a check marked Void along with the copy of the bill filled out on the back.
You can have your bank send auto payments...check with them to set up this service
or
You can also pay every month on the a Medicare website. Medicare does not do e-billing, but you can pay your bill online.

If you log into your account, you should be able to see a record of your premium payments.
I heard from my sister, and she doesn't know why there's no online billing option. It might help to contact your members of Congress. They should be able to make sure the request for this choice gets to the right people, and might even be able to find out why it's not available.

Thank you so much for helping me. Please say a "Thank You" to your sister for me.
There is an online billing option when I click Make a Payment. From there I can pay online. But what I'm looking for is way to stop them from mailing me a paper bill every month and instead send me an ebill to my email address with a direct link to pay it. I don't think that's even possible with the MC website...it's behind the times, antiquated and I'm figuring that out as I go along...LOL!

No, you cannot get an ebill from Medicare. I have not signed up for SS yet and also get the paper bill thru the mail that I pay electronically.
Paperbilling drives me crazy. I actually switched Part C insurer as they did not ebill.

@SilleeMee Our Part B is deducted from our SS. We've never paid out of pocket.
Medicare has an on-line chat feature at the medicare.gov website. It does work; I've used it several times. You might try that source.
