She received a $100 MILLION award from Jeff Bezos for her humanitarian efforts.
She's such an inspirational and down to earth woman. GO DOLLY!

She will probably donate it to charity.

FOX: Bezos selected Dolly Parton as the 2022 recipient of his Courage and Charities Award, as an individual who "leads with her heart."
Bezos applauded Dolly Parton, 76, for all that "she's done for kids, literacy, and so many other things."

Creating The Dollywood Foundation in 1988, Parton has prioritized education in youth. From this, The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library was born, which predominately offers books to young children and scholarships to high school students. In 2016, she established The My People Fund, to help those impacted by fire in Sevier Country, her hometown county.
In addition to her own organization, Parton has helped to fund The LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, Tennessee, as well as the covid 19 vaccine produced by Moderna.

"When people are in a position to help, you should help," Parton stated, upon accepting the award. "I know that I've always said, I try to put my money where my heart is. I will do my best to do good things with this money," she added.

Congratulations to Bezos for his donation of one hundred million $ to charity.
Happy to see that Dolly will oversee the distribution of this donation. She is a national treasure and will do an excellent job.

If I could quote a song from Anne Murray "Sure could use a little good news today".
Thank you so much.

I would hope so. Kind of defeats the purpose if she keeps it.

@Citrine1 I don't think it's a "prize" where she is to keep the money...I read that it was awarded to her to distribute as she would like to various causes.
That's a lot of work, and I am excited to see what she does with it.
