I follow her on Instagram, yes she's on Instagram. She's still painting and rearranging her apartment (with help I assume). An amazing woman in my eyes. Her son's suicide that she witnessed, such a tragedy in her life. But she perseveres.

I had no idea that today is her birthday.  I am currently reading “The Rainbow Comes and Goes.” It is a book that was written by her and son Anderson Cooper. Very interesting read.

I forget sometimes that Anderson is her son.

He could’ve taken the ‘victim’ route, at a young age...

or he could’ve taken the ‘rich kid not working’ route...

but he didn’t. I have so much respect for him. 

I’m sure she is very proud of her son.
