I have no comment on the weed...lol! My favorite soap is called Filthy Hippie (by Filthy Farm Girl) and it is patchouli and lovely.what does smelling like patchouli and weed have to do with the color of ones skin?
during the grunge era, many really did smell like one or the other or both.

my mom wouldn't be caught dead with any jacket covering her booty, even in a snow storm. she'd be wearing her kitten heels too.
she's crazy but so am i. aren't moms the best?

Joan had the chops being so successful, talented, and working so hard for it. Guiliana doesn't have the talent or clout to speak the way she does. Either does Kelly.
you said it best. joan was one of a kind. god broke the mold when he made her.

Sheryl Underwood also said "what would happen if someone make a remark (close to home) about Giuliana's inability to have children, or her skeleton-like frame?" How would she feel about that? Then, Sara Gilbert said "well, I guess we'll see now, won't we?"...
This has to be one of the most ignorant statements I have heard anyone make. Someone makes a statement about dreadlocks, and Sheryl Nobody has to take it to this low-class level. But are we all supposed to just fl*ff it off as Sheryl being Sheryl. Now I know why I don't waste time watching The Talk.

I absolutely do not like Giuliana - but having said that, I went to high school in the early 70s. Anytime one smelled patchouli it wasn't associated with blacks, but with hippies to hide the smell of their pot. And most times you smelled patchouli, the person who was wearing it was a druggie burn out so I never took this comment as racist.
As for Fashion Police - I suspect that the whole show will not survive anyway but not due to Giuliana's remarks but because the group just doesn't work anymore.

Me too...I buy it at Pier 1 in candle, spray, and oil reeds all the time...I lit the candle just yesterday.

I can't quite figure out how and why Guiliana or Kelley are authorities on fashion and style when neither of them look the part.

I don't think Fashion Police is long for this world. What Joan got away with others will not. I too don't think it would have been a Big Deal if Joan had said it. I don't think G was being racist. Patchouli oil and weed could be associated anyone.
