Yes, Fashion Police is taped early in the morning. They even mentioned this on The Talk today. Someone, can't remember who, wondered why the comment wasn't edited out of the show.

Re: Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, confusing!

When I watched the show and heard the comment, racism didn't even cross my mind. As soon as she said patchouli oil I immediately thought she was referring to her hair style in a bohemian sense. When I think of bohemian, I think of the Grateful Dead. I have been to over 100 of their concerts and this look of hair is very prevalent there. Long dreads/braids. BTW, every Grateful Dead concert I have been to is majority white in race.

When I heard the controversy the next day, I did understand it but I really think Guiliana meant it in a bohemian way and if anyone has ever been to a GD show, you know it smells completely like patchouli and weed.

I think Kelly could have had G's back a little more and not been such a drama queen. Though I don't know if she felt there was something bigger there or she just felt she was getting accused of something.

So....everyone is an uproar because Giulliana could be saying that she looked like a Rastafarian Pot smoking Jamaican, wearing Pathouli to cover up said weed smell.

Sorry, but this made me laugh.

Me too!

That type of hair style is absolutely associated with that, and pot smoking hippies.

She said that the hair overwhelmed her petite frame, and it did.

This is a show in which Joan Rivers said that Jessica Simpson was poured from fat (wish I could remember the exact words) into her boots. I posted on that and was told by many it was funny! I was CRINGING from that remark, and I am no fan of Jessica Simpson. I was told that was the way the show was. THIS QVC FORUM.

I looked up this young lady, and she is very cute with a pixie hairstyle.

Those dreadlocks, not so much!

I took it as somewhat of a Rastafarian slur, both racist and stereotyping. Guiliana seems to be competing with Kathy now that the new show has begun. I've never been impressed with her and am even less now.

Some people are always looking for something to scream race about. I am a big fan of Zendaya & think she is gorgeous, but her hair did look "dread"ful! Hope Kelly doesn't let the door hit her in the rearend.

Come on, "racist and stereotyping."

You can always be offended if you're looking to be.

That was one of the nicer comments I have heard on that show.

I agree with you, RainCityGirl. When Kylie Jenner got dreds sewn in, Giuliana praised her and called it "edgy." I also hold that it was a Rastafarian slur; she was racial profiling. People who don't understand what the fuss was about, have the same problem as Giuliana; they are too comfortable in their world to ever have to understand or care, so they deflect and call others overly sensitive or "playing the race card again." Re: Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, confusing!

Fashion Police was never a show I enjoyed, even with Joan Rivers. I found it to be too mean spirited. Joan Rivers, being Joan Rivers, could get away with whatever she said, but where does G and Kelly come off putting people down? Are they so beautiful they can criticize others? I think not. And that George guy was a laughing fool. He contributed nothing, but laughed his crazy head off at any single word that Joan uttered.

Joan: We'll be right back.

George: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Fashion Police has to go to its final resting place.
