Didn't think it was necessary, but he found a good deal and it is great for sports.

My aunt has mentioned a neighbor who has a huge tv in her small living room!  Must be tough on the eyes.

I was perfectly fine with my 48", 12-year old Samsung until my niece planted the seed in my brain about a Samsung Frame TV. I got a 65" in December and it's the best thing that I bought in a long time. I have beautiful art over my fireplace when the TV isn't on and a fabulous movie theater experience when I'm watching it. Really happy I caved. It's the best thing I got that I didn't know I needed.

My 48" LG TV is fine.  I would not want a larger one.   Not only would it look funny in a room but it would take up too much space.

@LyndaGee  The new large screens are easy on the eyes unless one spends all day watching and doesn't blink.

We have to stand up (if we can) and do something else part of the day.
