When ordering gifts, specifically Christmas gifts, are there any companies (like Target, Walmart, even Amazon) that gift wrap?  I want to buy on line and just have it sent but it's Christmas and want it wrapped.  Otherwise I'd have to buy it on line, ship to my house and they ship again.

I want to say I've seen the option on Amazon for certain products but there is an extra fee for it.

Re: Gift Wrapping

I only know about Amazon. Yes they offer gift wrapping for an extra charge. I think I paid  around $6.00 but it might vary depending on how large the item is. It's not really "wrapped". They put it in a drawstring bag or a plain box.

Edited to say it's not a plain cardboard box. It is a blue gift box. And the bag is fabric with sparkles lol

I think lots of places offer gift wrap, but didn't know Amazon's amounted to a drawstring bag. Amazon will usually say if the item will arrive in a box that shows its contents; if it will be in a plain box, then I would send it and ask the recipient not to open til a specified date.

Not sure about the companies you mentioned but last year I ordered a gift from Barnes & Noble. I wanted it wrapped but since they didn't show what the wrapping paper looked like online, I called to ask and was told it was just a generic print and not even Christmasy.

@nana59 Yes, I remember gift wrapping that was done at department stores.  It was lovely.  What a happy memory-thank you!

Not sure if you would want this but some churches set up tables at malls or even the church and it helps the church.

@ScrapHappy

I believe Macy's gift wraps, Neiman Marcus gift wraps, I'm sure Dillards and Bloomingdales does the same

Oh please don't have the gifts come to the house, wrap and ship, you just can't believe how much postage is.

I went 2 states, 16# and USPS was over $30, ended up UPS and I saved $10 but it still was $20.and that's before the increase with USPS.

The lady at the UPS store told me there's "talk" that UPS will be raising their rates for the Holidays but nothing has yet been confirmed.

If you do go this route, the size of your shipping box is very important, I believe anything over 16" puts you in another class of just more money.
