The ladies on these boards always have such good ideas, so I want to tap into your thoughts. I live in the Philly area and we have had several snow storms this year. Our snow blower is broke and our neighbor has been using his snow blower and doing our sidewalk and driveway.

I offered him money for gas, but he refused. I want to give him something but I don't know what. He lives at home and is in his early 20's. Any suggestions?

Gift cards to the movies, dinner out?

I think I would just accept his kindness and respect that he isn't looking for anything in return. However, if you feel you must give him something; a couple of passes to a movie, a $25 Dunkin Donuts gift card, a music store gift card. Something like that.

Homemade cookies, if you know his tastes. Or, yes, gift cards like Starbucks, Amazon or iTunes are a nice way to show appreciation.

I think a gas gift card would be great. Not everyone ""does"" Starbucks! I live in WA state and don't care for SB at all.

A gas gift card or a Trader Joe's gift card. There's always something that almost everybody in a family likes at Trader Joe's.

I take it you mean he lives at home with his parents? If that's the case, then chances are it's their snow blower.

Still so sweet of him to do this for you. Since he's the one out there in the blowing snow, I'd give him a gas card.

I don't think snow blowers use much gas or oil, but he's a 20 year old and I'm sure he could use a little gas in his tank, too. While he's at the station he can fill the gas car for the blower.

It's a relief to get the snow of the sidewalk and drive! Enjoy your snow!
