I just posted this on "Beauty" and only got 1 comment so will try again. I have about 1/4 lotion remaining in giant size. I no long have the caps, only pumps, so can't turn upside down. Lotion is very thick and doesn't pour. I've thought about sawing contain in half and transferrig to another container. Is this my only resort? Hope I don't sound stupid!!!
Surely I'm not the only thrifty one.

My solution is to put a kitchen funnel in an empty squeezable container and prop the half full bottle upside over the funnel and let it drain.
When the product is thick like what you've got, it takes awhile.
It may not be as convenient to use it from a sqeeze container, but at least you have a better chance of using more of it than you would from the pump container.
Hope that helps!

Set the bottles in very hot water for a bit. It might help with the pouring

I did that just last week to get what was left in the bottom to the top and I was able to swap out the pump for one of the squeeze tops to get the last bit out and let it sit upside down on my dresser.
And those hard, plastic Philosophy bottles are way too hard to squeeze. I wish they used a softer plastic.

I still turn mine upside down and prop it up against something so it stands. The lotion will work it's way down.
Or I take the pump off and pound it into my hand. Once it all comes to the top, I put the lid back on and then turn it upside down and prop it up.

Didn't QVC sell those bottle caps that had prongs and allowed you to turn a bottle upside down for this very purpose? I cannot remember the name of them to be able to do a search. They even used a Philosophy bottle in their on air presentations.

No ... it's not crazy at all. I do that sort of thing all the time. I bought a bunch of small pastic containers with tops in the supermarket - I think they are one cup size. I scrap the content into the cup and put a sticky label or piece of tape so I know what's in it.
I do that will all my leftover eye shadows - all scraped into one container. Same with blushes and lotions.

Funny I read this as I was just cleaning out the drawers in my bathroom and I must have at least 10 philosophy caps for just this purpose to use when I can't pump any more out of the bottles but there is plenty left. I learned to save them. You need a bottle with a bigger mouth on it so that you can let it sit and drain into the bottle.

I just transfer my 32 oz Purity to an 8 or 16 oz bottle. The easiest way is just to pour it out from the original bottle onto your hand, sponge ( I use a Buff puff ) or whatever.
