Being from a land locked state, I've never seen anything like this.  Pretty cool!  I especially like that they left Sharpies so people can write their message on a shell.  Will it all be gone when the tide comes in??

So cute to see the kids sharing in this project. A new generation learning to embrace the peace sign.

It's a symbol that has always meant a lot to me. It makes me happy to see it reemerge and live on.

Love this!  I've always been a 'Peace Sign' girl. 

Years ago QVC had these beautiful earrings (and a matching pendant) that are a 14k gold peace sign with mother of pearl that fills it in.   I have both the earrings (wires, so the peace sign dangles) and the pendant.  They are really beautiful.  Anybody else have them?

I see peace as very illusive and fragile. It has been the hope of every level of society and the goal of every social form of human bonding, yet peace is so easily shattered and put aside. I do like the words of a Quaker hymn:  “let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”

Some people down the street have a giant lighted peace sign that they hang every winter. It must be 4-5 feet in diameter.  I love how it looks at night.
