Getting notifications when someone replies?

Is there somewhere I'm missing where I can get notified when someone replies to a post?

If I post, I have to go searching for my post to see if there is a reply.

Thanks for any help!

Re: Getting notifications when someone replies?

I just gave you a heart, a notification of sorts. You should be able to open up the area to see your notifications. It is up by your screen name (upper right hand corner of the forum). Usually there is a number indicated how many people have given you a heart or used your name, like this @Ceci.

Technically, if you look up there, you should have at least TWO notifications. Click on the word Notifications, which is red, and see if there is anything. Heart

However, someone may respond to you without using your name, like I am doing now. So you wouldn't know I am writing something to you unless you happen to open this thread. Smiley Happy

@World Traveler......this happens way to often.  It makes it difficult to respond to someone when they do this.  Often times I don't go back to a thread unless I have gotten a notification of some sort.  Therefore I don't respond to them.  But sometimes if I know someone doesn't use the notifications.....and I have a feeling they have posted to me, I will take the time to go back and check.

Two months ago, same poster, same question, unfortunately OP never returned to thread or acknowledged replies which directed poster to notifications next to avatar, how to use @ symbol to respond to individual posters, and shortcut to finding replies.

How to get notified if your post is answered?

Is that available on this website?

Frankly, I rarely post but when I do, I have no idea if it was answered unless I search around for my post.

I don't see anywhere to tell the site that I want to be notified?

Re: Getting notifications when someone replies?

Thank you all!

Never noticed the notification area. Now I know.

What would also be nice if you were notified by email. Other forums I also belong send a notification by email and I can just open it from my phone.

I don't know how to get the forums on my phone. I have the QVC app and order using that, but I have no idea if anyone has responded to a post unless I go on my computer and go to the forums.

But knowing there is a way to see I have had responses helps.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it!!

Re: Getting notifications when someone replies?

@Ceci  I just wanted to make sure you realized you won't receive a notification for every reply.  Someone has to have used an @ and your name or either heart your post for you to get a notification.  If they just reply without doing either of those things you won't get a notification.  I just make sure to regularly check my posts to see if I have replies.

Re: Getting notifications when someone replies?

@Ceci I for one do not want to receive an email for every notification I have. I get lots of notifications, mostly hearts, and that would be a lot of emails. The most I got one morning when I went on the forums for the first time that day was 57! Then there were more during that same day. My email box would revolt on me! LOL!!!

Glad you now know where to check for any notifications. Heart

As to getting to the forum by phone (also applies to an iPad) is to access QVC thru your browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.). I have never found a way to get to the forums using my phone or iPad by using the QVC app. Perhaps others have and can walk you thru the steps if they have been able to access it thru their phone.
