we are due for snow in the baltimore area sometime friday and into saturday. as of right now they are calling for quite a bit...... a foot or more.

they will probably have a better handle on how big the storm is tomorrow sometime.

if it stays around a foot then we will probably be in for about two days or so.

i will definitely be heading to the grocery store on thursday, along with everyone else.

we have had such a mild winter that we cant complain too much.

hope everyone stays safe, stays warm, and hope you are able to stay off the roads if the weather is bad.

Been snowing here since late Sunday night. Luckily very light snow, but it has piled up and made a dangerous mess of our streets. Geez, I wish people would spend more time learning how to drive in the inclement weather. Driving at a turtles pace is not always the right and/or safest way.

Glad I don't have to drive the interstate every day heading to work. If some people gripped their steering wheels any tighter, their fingers might break. Fortunately my contractor working on our home put a plow on his truck and he needs to get in our driveway to unload the flooring/toilets and drywall to fix our home. No charge was very nice of him.

Sounds like you are describing me driving in the snow!  Luckily we do not get much low land snow here in the Seattle area!

"Major Winter Storm Jonas Named"

"Winter Storm Jonas is increasingly likely to develop into a major snowstorm across parts of the East later this week and weekend. In addition to snow, ice and strong winds may lead to power outages and treacherous travel, while coastal flooding could impact some of the shoreline.

If that wasn’t enough, some or all of the largest cities in the Northeast - Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston - could be significantly impacted by this storm with heavy snow and strong winds, bringing travel to a grinding halt, between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Here's what we know and don't know right now........"
