@shoesnbags

Glad at 72 you can do your own.  I am 76.5 and although I have exercised for years, arthritis doesn't care.

Enjoy it! I have been way too long without a pedicure, and I'm sure they're going to get out the "cheese grater" for my heels when I finally go! LOL! Woman LOL

With the thought that my post may hit (a few) nerves, I find it interesting the OP did NOT come back and apologize to Shanus for her misunderstanding.

I'm thankful that I can still do my own, too.  Like you, I have arthritis - bad enough that I had a total knee replacement 14 years ago.  My hands are affected in that they hurt, but thankfully they're still flexible as are my legs. That TKR was a bear but it gave me back my active life.  Hoping I can continue those pedis, but I guess we'll see.

I don't criticize people for manicures and pedicures also massages.  If you enjoy them...go for it.  Enjoy it.  I can't bear people fiddling around with me, it's just the way I am. I've only had my hair done a few times,very difficult for me.

I'm so happy to hear of people going out and doing things they like.  I'm hoping to go to our city Aquarium next week!

Yes, we do. I never "heart" those who correct others on a public message board. While I cringe when I see my own errors, I overlook what others put as long as I understand the meaning. @Luvsmyfam

@AuntG   Agree.  I find that the post was given hearts even worse.

Didn't surprise me, though.

@Sushismom    An apology to Shanus is certainly due as well as a thanks for defending her.

Re: Getting a peddy

[ Edited ]

@Kachina624 Yes. Unfortunately, when she did come back to the thread it was to only call out anyone who was snotty and judgmental.

I get pedicures every month not because I can't polish my own nails but because I have a problem with my skin growing into the sides of both of my big toes.  The lady who does my pedi's cuts the skin away from my toes.  If that isn't done every month my toes become very painful if I accidentally bump them.

If I stopped my pedi's I would have to go to a podiatrist and spend a whole lot more.  I also find that the leg and foot massages are very relaxing for me.

I don't have really nice looking hands so I skip the manicures.  I don't want to draw attention to them.   I still have pretty decent looking feet so I don't mind having a professional make them a little prettier.
