I am truly, truly sorry to hear that, truly I am.
But I honestly think that he is dying, and that it will be any time now, when we will have learned that he has passed, followed by Barbara.
He's lived a good, long life.
He will be missed.

My greatest hope is that neither one suffers.

I really like them both. That Barbara is a hoot. They werent on my political fence, but I always liked and respected them both.
i hope President Bush recovers soon. I know barbara will get better, jbut was kinda worried about him

Not on my fence either but of course in this situation that's not relevant. Hope they both continue to improve.
And it was two summers ago that the former President fell and hurt his neck, not last summer. Still forget it's a new year sometimes..

I sent a sympathy card when Millie died with a note; I just loved that dog. I got a lovely letter back from the President on his Kinnebunkport stationary thanking me for my warm wishes stating my "kind note meant a lot to Barbara and me". In his note he also describes how much Millie meant to all the Bush's.....it's still on my wall. The elder Bush's loved each other but never took themselves seriously....great senses of humor and there was only one woman he ever loved as much as Barbara, his Country...
i worked on his presidential campaigns and met him a number of times then and later after his Presidency and what stands out to me, his modesty, kindness, love of family, humanity and Country. He conducted himself as an ex President wth class.
I fear we will lose him soon because he is quite frail. I hope both Bush's recover.
