I liked their dogs. Millie and Barbara both had the same type of illness IIRC.

When Barbara had a thyroid problem and her eyes bulged a bit, she called herself popeye

She never was stuffy

@beckyb1012 Your photo of a young Mrs. Bush reminds me of Barbara Stanwyck. Sending healing thoughts of good health for both of them.

Strangely enough I believe they both have Graves disease, I know I read that they both did the radioactive iodine treatment. I only know this from the research I have done about Graves. My Mom has it.

Also last summer President Bush Sr. fell at their home in Maine and was hospitalized. I think he injured his neck.

I think that old photo of Mrs. Bush looks a bit like her granddaughter Barbara. Wow she was beautiful, have never seen a photo like that of her.

Pres Bush wrote the most beautiful letters to his wife. One was telling her they needed a little girl ,to fill their lives once again, after they had tragically lost a daughter

Larry King had Pres Bush on his TV show and he read the letter aloud to the viewers.

That was always such a good talk show, I miss it
