I have a few pieces of George's that I really love, and I miss him on the Q also. 

He was a true gentleman and had a kind demeanor about him.  I liked to listen to him talk about how he taught his students at FIT about designing clothes to fit a woman's body, areas to pay attention to, etc. etc.  he was very interesting!

I agree that he fits into the class of designers such as Bob Mackie, who are too few and far between nowadays!!

According to his fan club's fb site as of  feb 6 GS has 

retired. His fan club site remained open and they were asking for submissions. 

His clothing has disappeared from retail except for odds and ends. I so wish it were not so.

@momtochloe  CHLOE has a boutique in Houston and her designs were featured a couple of times on the TLC show, The Little Couple.  She seemed to be doing very well.  Her shop was in the high rent district.

He was one of my very favorites to watch.  Even if I didn't buy anything, I loved the details he provided during his presentations.  A very talented, classy man.  I miss his shows.
