A friend was telling me that General Mills was coming out with a new cereal and told me to check out the price. I am not a cereal eater but I got curious since she wouldn't tell me the price.

The cereal is called "Morning Summit". So far in my area it is only available at Walmart.

The price:   $26.27 for a 38 ounce box

I checked Amazon and Amazon will receive it March 5 and will be selling it for $34.15 a 38 ounce box.

Another reason for me to not eat cereal.

Perhaps the ingredients justifies the price.

What's in it?

The very first "status" cereal. I don't see anything special about it that couldn't be purchased for less at WF even.

So...it's Museli? Can easily get that in bulk. Must be an awfully amazing prize in the bottom of the Summit box.

No way those ingredients equal that price(s), in my mind.

Wait - what?????

Is it made of precious gems?

If I eat it, will it BRING BACK MY YOUTH???   I mean, c'mon!

I don't want 38oz of one type of cereal anyway....

I love cereal (dry as a snack, go to is Cheerios or Wheatabix)  but over $5.00/box is not on my grocery list let alone one co$ting THAT MUCH!!!

Yikes!

And I thought Fiber One cereal - also from General Mills - was expensive!  I don't know what makes this new cereal so precious but, as a rule, breakfast cereals are very cheap to make and should be cheap to buy as well.
