So on Friday while heading out of town I was going to stop and get gas. The prices was 2.38. Ended up running some last minute errands first and then went back to the Gas station. The price now was 2.89. So I am in northern NJ about 45 mins from NYC and the Port of Elizabeth. There is no excuse for the gas to have jumped within a 2 hr span.

Gosh, that does seem like a pretty big jump in 2 hours.

Ours has gone from 1.94 last week to 2.15 this week. So about 10% jump. I'm not worried about it. I'm in Texas but not in an affected zone.

I'm in Houston; paid $2.02 for regular this morning.   It has gone up, but only minimally.

no one is turning this thread into a "my state is better than yours" thread.

not even sure just why you brought it up?

She probably meant the not-so-subtle jab at Houston in the last paragraph of post 26.   (And for what it's worth, I'm equally as glad that poster doesn't live here; we don't need more negativity right now.)
