I live in New York, between Rochester and Syracuse (in the beautiful Finger Lakes) and the price in town is $2.73.  It will never be below $2.00 again.  You think Pa. has high taxes, come to NY.

The United State is getting ready to fall in on itself.  All the fracking going in the US and on its shores their is way  more gas than needed.  Also restrictions have been taken of National Parks.

At the end of last week, there was a station in my area that had gas for $1.56!

Most of it has been $1.99 or a little less.  But then Tuesday, it went up 19 cents and has since come down about 10 cents.  So we are around $2.17 here.  I'm in Ohio.

@gidgetgh  Really?  You need to head to Gwinnett, Barrow or Hall.  All under $2 last I checked.  And with your Kroger or Ingles card, ir drops even further.  LOL

@Lipstickdiva  It's been hovering a little over or under $2.00 here on the east side of Cleveland. I'm at a half tank right now, so if history repeats itself, the day I decide to fill up it will jump at least 30 cents!  (I have to wait until I need at least 10 gallons to get my Speedy rewards 200 pt bonus!)

A couple years ago the world was running out of oil. Today we have too much oil which is one of the "reasons," that we are told anyway,that the stock market is tanking.

Yet we still need to go into the Alaskan wilderness and drill for new oil reserves.

It makes my head spin. All I know for sure is that we are being played.

@catter70

AND you don't have to pump your own gas in Jersey.  An added benefit.

I'm in east central Indiana and gas in my little rural town is almost  always the highest in the surrounding area.  Sunday, I paid $2.35 but it is now $2.25.  A few weeks ago a smaller town in oun county had it for $1.99 but it was still in the $2.20 range here.
