Jules ... I just checked back on this thread and noticed you were here. It's great to see you. How are you doing? And how is Mia? Alfie (our new cairn) will be six months old tomorrow and is doing great. So many similarities to Brodie and yet so many differences. He's a doll and he is so affectionate. He loves to be hugged and cuddled.

PS: My mother was 42 when I was born (3 months shy of 43)!

Hi sweet Anika, Thanks for saying hello. Smile I'm doing alright...got very ill and spent nearly 2 weeks in the hospital last month. I've just been trying to bounce back, still get very tired but slowly improving. Mia is my adorable little monster (mean that in the best way). My wonderful neighbor lady cared for her while I was in hospital and I think she thought she went to doggie Disneyland. My neighbor used to breed and show Australian Shepherds and she has a HUGE yard. Compared to my small yard it was like having her own park, but she was very happy to see me when I got home. I missed her terribly and since then she has been like my shadow and very affectionate. I can't imagine not having her now. I'm so glad to hear that Alfie is doing well, he was just what you needed, Brodie sent you a puppy-angel. {#emotions_dlg.wub} I hope you are doing well, it's always nice to see you. I am trying to get in the holiday spirit, but I must be honest, I'm not looking forward to them at all. It will be a difficult season to get through but I will focus on Mia and the future, and remember all the good memories. How funny that your mom was almost 43 as well, I don't believe I knew that. Just goes to show that good things come to those that wait. Wink I never knew any different so my mom never seemed older to me when I was a child. Now I can appreciate just what a great mother she was...I can't even imagine having a baby or toddler at my age now. Stay well my friend and I shall see you around the forums.
