Re: Garage Sales : Do You Like Them

I used to go to yard sales 30 years ago when my son was a baby. I didn't have money to burn so I got toys, baby clothes and blankets. I also held 2 garage sales before we moved 1,200 miles to get rid of excess stuff.

Now I live in a different state and I don't bother with garage sales. The few I've looked at had junky old items. Our own requires a permit to have a garage sale, so there are very few around here now. I can live without them.

They make me crazy. Give things away to those in need....donate, Salvation Army, families who are in need. That is my belief.

I don't know what happened, but years ago we'd see garage sales and estate sales everywhere. Nothing, now. It's been several years since I've seen a garage sale.

If you are in the market for exercise equipment, check out yard sales. Got a great deal on an elliptical machine that was like new. We don't have a truck, but the man was so eager to get rid of it, he delivered it to our house.
