I always gave my aunt grocery gift certificates and she loved them.  She would stock up on ice cream, which was not always in the budget.  I also added gift certificates to her hairdresser.

@chickenbutt - I'm her only living relative.  I know she has an elegant home, and really doesn't need anything, and if asked would say she doesn't want anything.  I'm just trying to show appreciation for her hospitality, and let her know we are thinking of her.

I recommend a cozy throw. The Q has lots of them---very soft. Even in FL sometimes it gets chilly.

My 92 year old mom loves when she gets frozen single serving food.  Last year a grand daughter sent her a box of steak, hamburgers, crab cakes, potatoe cassarole & a few desserts.  She loved it!!  Easy delicious meals for one.

Did you take any pictures while there?  Send her some.  Has she ever lived in the state you live in?  Send her whatever the state is known for.  When you were kids, what was her favorite treat?  Send her some.

Yeah Collin Street fruitcakes are full of trans fat. That'll get rid of your sister. I used to love Collin Street fruitcakes until I read the ingredients. I contacted them and they are holding out until the gov't mandate to get rid ofall  trans fat in food, which is 2018. So, maybe it will be worth trying once they make changes.

Harry & David  Rogue Valley Royal Riviera Pears. They sell them on QVC. My husband and I got them as a gift in the mail and we loved them! Now I know what to send others.
