When replying to a post/thread, where can you see the original date it was written? Some OPs keep coming up & going around. I've obviously put in my "2 cents" when the subject is no longer relevant.

@Shanus

It's in the thread, right under the title.  The last post is the last date there was activity.    If you mean the very first time, it's in the first post, right under the title.  HTH

Right under the post if you are in the thread.

The time display can be set to show absolute time 01:28 PM by going to My Settings, Preferences, Display, Display dates as then selecting absolute dates.  Don't forget to save.

So if I see a subject, before replying, I should go back 3-17  pages (or whatever, find the OP and the original date written is under OP's name? Do the mods ever clear out really old posts/threads?

At the very least, before commenting on a thread, I go back to read the original post.

Some threads go off track and it is not in your control, to say who can post what

@Shanus no, threads are not cleared out due to age or inactivity.  From the topic list, you can just click on the number for the first or last page of a multi-page thread, depending on how your preferences are set.  That will allow you to quickly locate the OP and see when it was posted.
