Anyone heard any news re: the future of QVC and HSN and if they will declare bankruptcy? I posted a question re: auto delivery and if it will be honored ( probably not if they go under ) and I can't remember under what forum topic I originally posted it . I will remember this time if anyone can comment.

@elruth I wouldn't worry about it.  There has been talk that they are  considering filing for bankruptcy in order to straighten out their finances.  Just shop like you usually do.

I heard a rumor that Tik Tok was making Q a big hit. I guess not enough and not sure it was true to begin with.

Online shopping is outdated IMHO. Why go through the hassels of slow shipping, canceled orders, checking for reviews....I could go on.

I think many people are just worn out with the same old stuff and vendors on constant repeat. Watching these channels were great at one time, but outlived their usefulness. No more "Quality, Value and Convenience".

I wonder what's going through all the Q employees' minds these days.  Especially those close to retirement like PJD  JRT for example as well as those behind the scenes who have been there since inception.

I used to love QVC because they always had new and exciting products that I could not find here in my small town. Sadly that is no longer true, the products are often repeats of items in the warehouse. I do not shop TikTok... ever, have not been on the site and no plans to go there. I'm a dinosaur, our ad agency friends have a group called the dinosaurs . . . I thnk I'm in that category! LOL! Tik Tok customers are young 36% are under 40, while QVC's customers are 50+ and 90% are repeat customers. . . we may be old, but we are loyal! LOL!!

@Shanus   I'm not sure Online Shopping is outdated.  I may be wrong, but I think t more people than not do most of their shopping on line.  I had to go to a local mall a week or so ago.   It was empty.   The same with the outlets.   I suspect with high gas prices climbing every day people won't be driving much either.

Q has been in the toilet for years. There are so many things they need to do if they want to stay in business.

Given their goofball marketing ideas & show titles, outdated fashions, years of lousy financials, and failure to update,  they continue to tank.

Someone needs to knock some sense into executives, marketing, hosting styles, and buyers if they want to make it.

@Shanus   "Online shopping is outdated."

Just the opposite.  Online shopping/e-commerce continues to grow at double the rate of physical in-store shopping.

I think TV shopping is outdated, but definitely not online shopping.  Whether it's TikTok, Instagram, or the thousands of independent retail shops online, e-commerce is experiencing dramatic growth compared to in-store shopping.
