I brought home some bananas one day from the supermarket and the next morning, I went to get one and out popped some fruit flies! Well after a couple days it has gotten worse. They are flying around my kitchen everywhere! Even in my bathroom and living room. It is driving me nuts. I looked up on the computer how to rid of them and I made this fruit fly trap. I used a soda bottle and cut off the top with the nozzle, filled the bottom of the bottle with wine vinegar and turned the nozzle part of the bottle down towards the wine on the bottom and taped the outside of the two separate pieces together so there would be no opening. Well the next day there were a lot of flies trapped in the wine. I made two traps and the traps have been catching them, but I am still getting some flies flying around. Not like before but still. Has anyone else ever had this problem? How long does it take for them to be totally gone? I also sprayed some Raid around. But the traps are what seem to really get rid of them. It is just taking so long. Help!
Also I want to add that I take the trash out every night, do not leave any dirty dishes laying around. I am making sure everything is clean no food or anything laying around either.
