Hi,

So I tuned in last night to an episode of "Frontline" on PBS. Last night's story was called "The Suicide Tourist." It was about a two men who assist in suicide in Switzerland. In fact they are called the "Swiss Dignitas." The story is about a man from Chicago who is diagnosed with ALS and makes the journey to Switzerland to commit suicide. They document everything from what happened to him to his last breath. I found it kind of disturbing really, watching him drink the liquid that was going to end it, but I wasn't in his shoes and I really don't know what I would do if faced with a long suffering disease.

I started this thread because I'm having mixed emotions about the whole thing. In one way, I can completely sympathize with people who are suffering with terminal illness, but on another I'm not sure I would have the nerve to do that. How do you feel about assisted suicide?
