Re: Front yard inflatable Christmas decorations---like them?

Not a fan but yes I'm sure kids love them. One house nearby has a Santa that's so big- it looks like one in the Macy's parade. If it ever became airborne it might be a projectIle Smiley Very Happy

I am not to fond of them, to me it's not really decoration...I prefer more traditional lights and wreaths but they don't bother me.

I detest them... all of them... Whether their purpose it to make a personal statement or they're placement is because children are in the home, I find them rather hideous... There are may ways to decorate that are seasonal and festive without being tacky...

I'm not a big fan of inflatables.  They always look silly when deflated and lying all over someone's yard. However, to each his own.  If it makes people happy, then so be it.

Oh Lord! My grandson loves these SO MUCH!! One person on my daughters street has one that looks like a snow globe with snow blowing inside of it and everything. I will do almost anything my grandson asks me to do and I even thought about getting one of these for a split second but honestly I couldn't bring myself to put this in my yard. It is just too tacky.

Oh @Irshgrl31201 I LOVE those snow globe inflatables! . . . thank goodness I was by myself on the road as I accidently slammed on the brakes to watch it the first time I saw one . . . I think they are awesome!

When you drive through the older part of the town I live in they have many of those older, Victorian homes and many have absolutely gorgeous decorations but there is one that I truly love and always make a point to cruise by as they always go all out in shall we say not usual decorations . . . this year is about 50 of those 4' plastic Santa's (circa 50's) and accompanying equally huge and plastic tchotchkes . . . best yard decorations ever! . . . I do have to say the snow globe ones are the cutest ones @mtc. A school around here has a whole bunch in front and they have some of the best snow globes inflatables I have seen. We passed it a couple of days ago and my grandson was going crazy so we parked and walked around and looked at them. Seeing Christmas through his eyes has just made this Christmas so exciting.

Not a fan. But to each his own. I imagine if  I were a child they would be delightful to see displayed during the holidays.

NO. I do not like them, I think they are cheap looking and totally tacky.

If you do have small children or just have to have them, they should be used in the backyard  where no one else has to look at them whether their inflated or a deflated pile of plastic mess laying on the ground. That is my take on them.

Whoever came up with the stupid idea and why is beyond me. They're not Christmas decorations - the're junk. Junk that obviously is liked by some people .. hmmm, what is that saying? One mans junk is another mans treasure ...

NO, it is still junk ...

________

Junk, in your opinion. Obviously, not in everyone's.

I know what they are but I have seen any overkill anywhere in my area.  Occasionally, I'll see a Santa or Snowman but not a whole herd of that stuff.  I wouldn't want to live next door to someone who put that stuff all over but the Christmas season is short and festive is in the eye of the beholder.
