I don't mind it at all. 13 is my lucky number.

I just learned that this is a very unusual year because we have THREE Friday the 13ths this year!

We've just had the ones in February and March ... the third will be November 13th.

And next year ... there will be only one.

I am always leary when Friday the 13th hits the calendar.

As a teacher, it always seems likes a chaotic day - maybe it's self-imposed.  lol

However, Friday, March 13th 2020 was a day that I will never forget.  It was the day our district's doors closed until the following school year.

It began as a normal day.  We were getting ready for St. Patrick's Day, making leprechaun and rainbow projects.  It got progressively worse, with strange rumors of local districts closing down for 2 weeks because COVID had hit Long Island and there were people who had it being transported to local hospitals. I remember leaving the school and taking a few extra things with me...just in case.  As I was driving home, I was getting an inordinate amount of texts and had to pull over to read them.  Our district was closing down for 2 weeks too.

It just spiraled from there and the rest is history.

Friday the 13th hits a little differently now, especially if it happens in March.
