No one has the power to take your happiness or keep you from being
happy and at peace unless you allow it. Lord, help me remember that I
am sustained and supported by Your love for me who wants only for my
safety and goodness.

Meditation for the day:
"If your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light; but if it
is not healthy, your body is full of darkness." The eye of the soul
is the will. If our will is to do the will of God, to serve God with
our lives, to serve God by helping others, then truly shall our whole
body be full of light. The important thing is to strive that our will
be attuned to the will of God, a single eye to God's purpose, desiring
nothing less than that God's purposes be fulfilled. We can try to
seek in all things the advance of God's kingdom, seek the spiritual
values of honesty and purity, unselfishness and love, and earnestly
desire spiritual growth. Then our life will emerge from the darkness
of futility into the light
of victory.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that my eye may be healthy. I pray that my life may be lived
in the light of the best that I know.
Hello my friends! Let us all remember that first line here - how true that
is!! Today was a nice day with him home, he picked all the kale, and I
looked it up on google to see how to freeze it and got it all frozen now. I
just have to tell you that this morning after I got back from having my
teeth cleaned, I made scrambled eggs mixed with some kale, broccoli, parsley
(from garden) and chives from the garden, and was that ever good! Served it
with salsa. Will do this again!! That was a blessing, and more to follow -
I got the emails sent to me for our Parish Prayer Line of our two new
priests, so now I have their email. Another blessing! And it was nice to
sit out in the patio after supper tonight - visiting with my husband, and
enjoying the peace and beauty of our back yard. Our corn is up to my hips
already, the potatoes are sure growing, tomatoes too, and the beautiful
lilies that I bought through QVC when Connie was still alive and she and I
ordered the same, they are in bloom, all kinds of colors! Beautiful! All
God's Beauty to behold! Can't keep up with those cherries!! All these are
great blessings from our God, and a wonderful husband to enjoy them with,
who does all the work out there! Thank you for your posts on the last
thread and mentioning your talents, a great gift from God which we need to
continually develop! You can continue posting some talents you forgot about
last time. You are all gifted - a lot! May your blessings be many and
your answers to prayers be many! Love to you all!
