We have only had enough "rain" to dampen the ground. Not really anything in the rain gauge. It has been blessedly cool here today. I am actually making stew for dinner.

The picture of Yosemite is stunning. My son at Tahoe said they have snow.

had the pleasure of spending time for about 10 summers up in Wawona, at the southern entrance to the park.   love Yosemite.  also love the little sprinkles we're getting in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles right now.  hallelu!  has our  El Nino finally arrived???

Thank you for the photo.  I've been to Yosemite twice (not often enough)

and think it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  The first time I was there witnessing the fire fall I thought it was magical.  So glad I saw it before it was discontinued.

The best time to see the full falls is in the spring and early summer when there is snow melt.

Rains from an El Nino usually occur in Nov, Jan and Feb.

We had pretty heavy rain on and off the past 24 hours.....so nice to see the snow! :-) Yosemite is practically in my back yard!

You live in an incredibly beautiful area.  A lifelong friend of mine lives very close to Yosemite, also.  It's just breathtaking there.
