I live in another New England area that had the freezing rain for most of today.
our family dinner had to be shifted to tomorrow, as so many had 30-60 minutes drives to get to my brother's house.
We will have Christmas tomorrow!

Central Florida/ Tampa Bay area. Low seventies and sunny. Headed into some 80s
Every morning I get up and feel so thankful that we could retire here. Leaving six month winters without sun, in #puremichigan, in our rear view mirror.

Prior to moving to New England recently, I lived in a warmer weather state. When someone here posted about having a holiday disrupted, due to winter weather conditions, I was empathetic.

Oh let me tell you about the bazillion times winter plans are postponed or cancelled when you live in Michigan. Literally from November to March, everything on your calendar is penciled in/weather permitting. It was just part of our lives. My whole life. Now that winter weather and driving conditions aren't an issue for me, it's so freeing. 🥰

Most of the country has been warm. A few places, the temps dipped. We are having rain everyday this week. I think a break of one day on Friday, before the rain resumes. Pretty much rain instead of snow (outside the west). Where I live, snow doesn't arrive till around February. So I'm not desperate for it. It comes when it comes.

My sister has freezing snow, 1 degree, was 14 and they have to get out and shovel and snow blow.
Pipes frozen. Got under their house and saw dryer pipes near the frozen pipes, so she turned on the dryer for an hour and pipes thawed out. Smart girl.
