If you live by a Rita's Ice, today is 1st Day of Spring which is Free Italian Ice.

Starts at Noon.

Thanks Three Cees--I'll stop by after work.  The Mango one is my favorite.

I will be near one today.  It is a shame that Mother Nature is probably going to give us water and ice today.  It is definitely a snow sky here in Delaware.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

The two Ritas that are close to us both closed, there is one a little further, but since they are predicting snow, we will not be going Smiley Sad.

We first discovered Rita's about 8 years ago on the Jersey shore

Thanks for the heads-up.  I have errands to run this afternoon and will try to remember to stop at Rita's.  As I recall, there was a long line last year so I didn't bother.  But sleet and rain are in today's forecast so maybe everyone will stay home.  Smiley Happy

@threecees, Thanks for the reminder! In New Jersey we are due for about a foot of snow, but,

Ha! Ha! And I just got an email from the Weather Service - expect 12 - 18 inches of snow.

It will go well with the Water Ice.

@drizzellla

We are now downgraded and expecting 1-2 inches later tonight instead of 4-8 inches

that forecasters were predicting yesterday.

By the time school lets out later, Rita's will be jam packed.

That sounds so good but we do not have a Rita's.  Instead I will have to go to Dairy Queen which is giving out free vanilla ice cream cones all day today.  Italian ice sounds much yummier.  But "free" sounds and tastes the best.
