FYI when doing heavy, full coverage makeup for photo shoots, if freckles or beauty marks are covered up, makeup artists add them back w/ a tiny brush and waterproof gel liner in brown. No one’s complexion is “spot free” and sometimes perfect skin can look unnatural and flat.

It's a fad, along with all of the K clan items mentioned upthread. Women will regret having alterd their bodies in future years, when these fads go out of style.
