Maybe RS didn't honestly feel anything wrong had been done and didn't think Columbia etc. would find anything wrong with what they did.
I heard it said on one news program (PBS?) that the reporter had a story and found someone ("Jackie") to tell it.
Whatever inaccuracies might be spoken on cable or radio shows, I can't remember the last time any of them caused any reaction like this RS story. So I think that's just excuse making...they did it, they did it too. It doesn't make RS any less wrong, dishonest and anything else like it.
Their intent lately (last few years) seems to be to outrage people, nothing more more less.

I mean nothing more, nothing less. Sorry.

In addition none of the editors involved in the story will be censured or disciplined in any way. In other words this investigation done by Columbia School of Journalism was nothing but a PR ploy by RS and they never intended to,take any action to correct the errors that were pointed out.

In today's news, the plot thickens.

I'm not sure if they know if this woman really exists or if the "journalist" (use the term loosely) made her up. I cannot believe she still has a job, but that magazine seems to have very low standards. If the accuser exists, her identity should be released. I hope the frat wins this suit.

Hula, Jane Doe does exist or at the very least her friends have been making the rounds in an attempt to explain her fairy tale.

The Daily Caller is no one's idea of a news site.

So Terrier, you can say this story is false?

I wouldn't even bother reading anything from that site.
The editor already admits his bias and his refusal to criticize the network where he appears part time.
It's opinion only.

There's a very funny tweet making the rounds now. Thrush tweeted a sarcastic line...Drudge, the Daily Caller, etc. - ALL took him seriously....it's going viral...and it was meant as a joke.
The Daily Caller has ZERO credibility.
