I haven't watched AI on a regular basis in years. Last night, my husband and I were waiting for the 9 o'clock news. There was a half hour left so we channel surfed and landed on AI. Saw a male contestant who was clearly awful talent-wise, but what startled me the most was his fragile state when he was being critiqued. He seemed on the verge on a major meltdown. I'm not sure if this is a transgendered person, but he/she clearly is not of a mind to handle the rigors of AI. By admitting this person to the top whatever they're practically setting him/her up to fail. Doesn't seem right.

Maybe this person had a bad night, but his/her mental state was clearly fragile. It was difficult to watch. I hope this person is okay.
