Now that we have had the new forums for a while, do you have any suggestions that would make them more user friendly?  I've noticed participation is way down.  Here are a few of my suggestions.

1. Put the most recent posts first.  If you're going to respond to a post or read others' responses, you have to go to the very end of the thread and work your way back.

2.  Have an automatic "save" on your submission until you hit "post."

Another one - make it possible to set font size only ONCE.  I set mine, and it didn't save this setting.  Have to set font size every time I post.

@fortune, go to My Preferences, then Topic Layout, then select Newest First. There! Problem fixed!

I, too, wish I could select a default font size. Anyone know how to do this?

You cannot select a default font style for posting, but you can alter your font size in general which will affect what you view and not impact others. This means you can choose a larger or smaller font size for writing and viewing for yourself without overriding how others see your post. Click my signature for a list of guides, including one for font settings,

I prefer this because some people post with very small or difficult to read fonts/colors and when they do that, it overrides my personal settings. If a post is written in a font that's too small or too difficult to read, I don't read it.

Hello @fortune@MaggieMack gave you great instructions for arranging your post order.

There is an autosave function - see image below where it is just above the Quote tab:

When you come back to reply, this box will appear above the box allowing you to reload what is saved:

I hope this helps and you can find more tips in the Welcome Get Started forum.

Enjoy your day!

make sure you are signed into your account for the auto save feature to work. this is one of  my favorite NEW features of the boards!   even if you are kicked offline you can come back and find what you were previously working on.

I've used the auto save feature a few times.  It's very nice.
