Filed for bankruptcy and will close all U.S. stores.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@gidgetgh   I saw a list somewhere yesterday of all the restaurants and stores that are closing every location or eliminating some stores. It's sad and I forsee many more joining that list.

Very sad but so many stores, shops, and restaurants in our area are closing due to lack of reliable workers.

I'm thinking the age of malls will be long gone. Banana Republic closing many stores, too. It's said due to online shopping, but i think it's too high prices. In store, I never find my size and although I see items on sale online they are not the same price in store. crazy!!

Re: Forever 21 stores

The rundown mall near me is expanding with an outdoor plaza, small stores and food choices.

The name Forever 21 was always a turn-off for me.  I don't think I ever went in one.

The Forever 21 store in our mall closed about four years ago.
I thought they had all closed.

Guess it's hard to compete against Temu and Shein.

@Shanus   Stores and warehouses have different expenses.  I find it frustrating to know the prices are different, but I understand why, so I don't think it's crazy.

Sales that don't cover costs are losses and I doubt there are enough extra sales to account for those losses.  My doubt is based on how I am shopping now.  I used to buy repeatedly in many categories, but now I already know what I want to look for and ignore other products in the stores AND on TV shows.

For example, I actually like QVC's TSV sweater today, but as soon as I knew what the TSV was, I knew I wasn't buying even before I saw it.  I could perhaps wear it once or twice a season at 4 am here in southern Florida, and I buy nothing in any category expecting to pass it on to family later.

I never shopped there only walked through on my way to other stores in the mall. Ours closed 4-5 years ago only to be replaced by some kiddie gaming place. Our Forever 21 was a former Mervyns and after they left they turned it into a dump. Filthy floors, dirt everywhere.
