FL just hit 100,000 cases.

The states which mask up will be rewarded economically.

I hope states like MI, NY, CT, CA and NJ have learned their lessons.

BTW, Ford Motor has its own internal testing, tracing and isolating unit. It can't hurt.

Was in Michigan this weekend, only about half the people I saw had masks. Hope that is enough.

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.

@CrazyDaisy That describes our state--half science and half anti-science. Ann Arbor is heavy on masks. I am glad I live here.

UMich just announced it will open this fall. We will be up to our tails in masks--at least on campus.

@suzyQ3 Sorry, "open" here means the lines are moving close to capacity. Good for blue collar.

I am all for trying to open esp. in our pro-science institutions like Ford and UMich. They could be examples of how it can be done.

On the other hand, the anti-science areas are losing tourist $ just because we won't go up there this summer.

Will be in Ann Arbor next month. Guess I will be able to report first hand.

Of course they will. As will MSU, EMU, WMU and EVERY other university in the country that plays D1 football. Why? Because the NCAA has said that if students aren't on campus, sports teams can't play. There's no way those schools will risk that revenue. Other sports, such as basketball and hockey start during the fall semester, but could easily compact their seasons in to league games only and start in January. But football is a fall semester season, other than playoffs and bowl games.

As far as I know every MI state school loses $ on athletics. UMich loses the least but still charges each student $6.00 per year for the sports program.

I can't see how sports will happen this year. The mission of the school is academic.
