We have UTube TV for watching TV...thru Frontier. We have only had this service for 3 months and really with no issues.

 

The last two days we have had a problemwith our local channel not showing up on our Live channels..it just disappeared yesterday! 

 

Now we are getting news out of Columbus...Yes, I did check the settings on the app and our zipcode is correct.

 

I did see that Fronteir has merged...I think with Verison, I wonder if they are having issues? 

 

I tried doing a chat...what an issue!  It is hard to get past their automated chat, I will call on Monday if I can't get it fixed on my own.

 

And yes, we have shut the TV off, unplugged and turned back on.

You don't have to wait until Monday to call.  Here's the number, and if you get a message that they will return your call, they will.  There is an active YTTV Facebook group that addresses these problems frequently.  It's called YouTubeTV if you're interested in joining.

I have You Tube TV and really like it. I stream my TV over my Internet which is Comcast. Comcast has nothing else to do with You Tube TV. 

Is Frontier your Internet Provider?

I think the problem you are having is that You Tube TV might not have a contract with your local stations. That is my guess. 

Last year, I lost ABC TV locally because there was a contract dispute between You Tube TV and the ABC affiliates.

I would check with You Tube TV as to why you do not get your local news. etc

@Mom2Dogs.  I went through a period when I was getting a station in and local news from El Paso, Tx., in which I wasn't remotely interested since I'm in the Albuquerque area. 

 

As I recall, I took the steps you've taken and sent YouTubeTV a message every day.  After a week or little more, it was corrected.

@Kachina624  Ha, ha. I will have to try that..it is irritating when one day every thing is ok and the next it is not.   I had to go thru and remove all sport channels and a couple other things we never watch a couple of times before my chanages took effect.

 

We do like the streaming service and the app is easy to navigate on my laptop.

@Mom2Dogs.  I also have an interior antenna on each of my TVs.  Easy to install and use.  If wifi goes out or in the situation you describe, I just switch over to "antenna" and can watch all the local stations + QVC.

@Mom2Dogs  hooe you figure it out. We don't have YouTube, but we have Frontier. Our town hardly offers anything else. We have found there is literally no way to speak with a real person. Everything is chat. When our internet goes out, and it does a lot with this company, we can't event contact them. It's unreal.  I let my husband deal with it, as I to,d him not to get that company. lol.

...so odd, we have 3 televisions all with UTube TV...1 television set will get our local channel the other two will not....we have unplugged and plugged back in all the TV's and turned back on...still no local channel on the two sets.

 

I have gone into the app multiple times and made sure the zip code is correct and that the network we want is active, sigh.... I am going to have to call them today. 

 

I also joined the Facegroup book that was mentioned, the suggestions mentioned were things I have already done.  It is just really odd
