@catlover To be able to add a link attached to a word (I just use 'HERE" for all of my postings of links, but you can use any word). I also suggest whatever word you want to use as the one with the link you attach to your post, make all the letters capitalized and then I also use the 'bold' feature so nobody would miss the link.
Ok...here's how I do it:
have the tab on your pute open of the link you want to use. Type in all the text ahead of time in your post including the word 'HERE" or whatever you want...so complete your text totally in your post...
Next, go to the tab on your pute with the link you want to attach and highlight, then copy the URL addy.
Next, highlight the word in your new post you want to attach the link to...
Then you will attach the link by doing the following:
Look above your post you want to attach your link, look above your text at all the options...text, smilies, etc. The top row of icons you will see a paper clip icon (or to me that is what it looks like...4th icon from the right). Click on it...a small window will pop up.
Then paste the url in the top box...then click 'ok'.
Lastly, highlight your word which will now have the url/link attached and click on 'b' for 'bold' so the word will stand out.
You can now click to submit your post...HTH ![]()

@Susan Louise I am beyond impressed by your knowledge - both to do the link but also to explain so carefully how to do it. TY

I don't run a business off of eBay as some people do so I don't live and die by the feedback or ratings (although I have 100% positive feedback for both buying and selling).
But I do know some people who use it as a business and the ratings are very important in terms of lowering their costs to use eBay as well as whether people buy from them if they aren't a top seller.
eBay was a very cool concept back in the day but, IMO, it's no longer for me. I just donate stuff now.
I don't even care for purchasing stuff on there now. I will only get it off eBay as a last resort. As a seller, you used to be encouraged to leave feedback as soon as the buyer paid, but now sellers are forced to hold your feedback hostage in the event you leave them bad feedback. I, personally, don't play that game. So if the seller doesn't leave me feedback, I don't leave them feedback. Sometimes they contact me and I tell them why I haven't left feedback. Some will go ahead and post their feedback first and then I reciprocate. Otherwise, it just drops.

I love E Bay because I can find nice leather clothing, new and like new, that I can't find or afford elsewhere. I recently purchased a brand new with tags dark green leather skirt for $15. I had one poor experience years ago when I got a skirt that smelled like an ash tray. My fault for not asking about a smoke and pet free seller. Everything else has been a positive experience and resulted in positive feed back from me.

I didn't click on the link so I don't know exactly what we're talking about, but ITA with the things that VaBelle said.
As for the feedback begging thing - OMG, I hate that! If I haven't left feedback (yet or whatever) the fastest way you'll insure that I won't is to 'feedback beg' me.
I also sold many years ago, and for quite some time. I made a ton of money and it was great. I wrote good descriptive ads, put up as many pictures as necessary for a given item, and customer service was very important.
But it took a bad turn, in numerous ways, several years ago and I have no desire to sell there anymore. Every now and then I purchase an item but nothing major.

I do sell on eBay and have since about 2001 off and on. Recently non-stop since 2011. Feedback is important because buyers look at it to help determine if they want to buy from you or not, and one or two negatives can bring your entire percentage down to the low 90's which is unacceptable to most buyers.
So I understand that seller's frustration.
Early in 2011 I sold a limited edition Louis Vuitton that was very popular, meaning that the style was counterfeited. Mine was authentic, having personally purchased it at an LV Boutique at the Horton Plaza in San Diego, CA. I have no return policy unless I've made an error on the listing. It sold.... I shipped it with insurance and Signature required. The buyer received it and said she was unhappy with the dust bag (which was the red dust bag that came with it!) I offered to send her a regular LV dustbag in tan fannel with a drawstring on the top. No. She wanted to return the bag for a refund. I said unfortunately I can't do that as I have a no return policy. She argued about the bag, the dust bag and I said no. She opened a dispute, stating the bag was not as described and that it was fake!!. It was exactly as described (I described thoroughly) and I would never, ever buy a fake much less sell one.
Ebay then froze my entire Paypal account while this went to a ten day arbitration. I also was in contact with eBay regarding this, they reviewed ALL our correspondence, went over my listing with a fine tooth comb and decided that I HAD described the handbag accurately, and the emails showed that I tried to appease the buyer by offering her another dust bag. AND that my handbag was indeed authentic. I WON the dispute and my Paypal account was unfrozen.
HOWEVER, this buyer decided to leave a nasty negative feedback and cripple ALL my stars to 0 which left my 100% feedback languishing. I was able to reply to the bad feedback, and I did so professionally but eBay would NOT take this feedback down even though it affects your rating and sales. They said she was entitled to her opinion even though it was retaliatory!! The negative wlll work off the account in about a year, and it did.
Now here's the interesting part.... I have a friend who did some on-line sleuthing regarding this customer and found that she sold counterfeit LV's including the style of bag that I sold her. At that point I knew exactly what she was up to. She intended to buy a bag in the same style that was authentic and SWITCH it with her counterfeit handbag. She would get the refund, keep the authentic handbag and I'd be left with the counterfeit! I'm absolutely positive of this..... the only glitch was that I was unwilling to accept a return and refund her so she was going to get eBay to make me.
It's a scam sellers have to be constantly aware that's out there with these high end products that are counterfeited.....

I should have pointed out that she sold the counterfeit bags on another site that is more or less known for sellers who do this.....
