Re: For those interested in Amazon Prime...

@dooBdoo  I checked in the marketing e-mail section, and I'm signed up to receive messages from Amazon Prime.  I don't know why I'm not getting them.  I get other messages from Amazon.

I'm not sure, either, @NickNack, but I might be getting more notifications since I signed up for the Media Room email alerts.  Try adding that to see if it helps.  You always can stop them if you want.

Re: For those interested in Amazon Prime...

Prime is certainly worth the money but it is expensive, especially with that recent rate increase.   Unfortunately, I pay full price since I have been a member for several years.  My grandson, who is in college, gets a special rate of $37!!!   Which brings me to one of my many frustrations.  Why is it that only new memberships get the great prices?  Yes, I know, it is an incentive to get new members.  But why is it that long-time subscribers (of anything, cable TV, Prime, newspapers etc) don't occasionally getting recognized for being loyal.  e.i., It would be nice to be rewarded with a special price for being a subscriber for 5 consecutive years, or 10 years, etc.

Re: For those interested in Amazon Prime...

I have been an Amazon prime member for many years.  I'm not sure it's worth it anymore because my shipments are so slow.

I used to get my shipments in 2 days.  Now, it's getting slower and slower even though I make sure the correct box is checked at check-out.

Does anyone use the amazon prime movie streaming on their smart tv? Is it worth the price? pros cons? Thanks!

@deb5555 Yes, I've used it many times. I have some issues with the video streaming quality, which may revert to a lower definition quality periodically throughout a move. I do get some reloading periodically too. All in all, I think Netflix is slightly better, and many times Amazon charges for movies that are free(with your subscription) on Netflix. Amazon offers discounted pay per view on some movies not offered on Netflix.

funny  you say that because I ordered some stuff last week with free shipping and 3 of the 4 items came within 2 days via FedX white truck.  So do I really want Prime??  I did have it when I needed to send stuff to my Mother in assisted living, but didn't renew when the price went up.  I don't stream the movies and now wait until I can get a few items to order
