I can totally understand.

However, I have not opened a good 90% of the virus threads. 

I can see from their titles what they are about, and usually just pass them by.  If a title does seem more check out this news article, versus, we are all doomed, then I can check it out and often go to reputable real sources to find full facts for myself.  The doomed or speculative, or I will only post bad news threads remain closed.  I stay here to read and participate in other threads as usual.

@Caaareful Shopper. Sadly there isn't much left after you skip the ones you describe. I try to also skip the daily blow-by-blows of someone's life (boring!) and the constant daily requests for help making decisions that adults should be able to make so there is really slim pickings for me to read. 🙁
