Is it my imagination or ?? It seems there are more and more posts being removed by the monitors for various reasons ~ mostly for being unkind. I'm feeling rather embarrassed for everyone. Can we not think about what we are going to write and decide for ourselves as to whether the content is appropriate or not? Pretty Pleeeeease ??

I don't know that they are "mostly" being removed as unkind, there are a lot of other reasons. Political seems to be a big reason, too. I think the closer it comes to the election, the stricter it will be. Why even start a thread that everyone knows has political undertones? I've had a mind to start a thread on this or that, but thought, "What's the use?"

By the time I log in late in the afternoons, there's hardly anything left on which to comment. I guess everyone has been unkind and inappropriate.

@MaggieMack I do agree with you. This is the only thing (whatever it is called) I post to. I do not twitter or post on any other board.
I do wish there was a place where I could go and find out what other people around the country are thinking. Mostly people who are 'on the fence' politically, etc.
I've been known to change my mind more than one time here because people have made sense. I really enjoy the TV and Movies part (that's mostly where I stay). For some reason on more than one occasion we (over there) have agreed to disagree and not let things get mean.
There have been times when one of us has apologized to others or if misunderstood we've explained what we meant, etc.
I just can't enough good things about over there. Maybe it's because it's TV and Movies and not political, I don't know.

Nice post @pattypeep.😊
We should take responsibility for what and how
we post.

What gets me are people who constantly slamming the hosts when they know darn well it will be removed. I agree with them most of the time, but it's a waste of time.

Imagine my surprise (and a little disgust, I admit) when an entire thread I originated in the Recipe forum was deleted because, by inserting a link to demonstrate a jar of popcorn, I was, "...advertising outside retailer."

I think we all need to grasp that not everyone here thinks the same. And that is okay.
Whether I think someone is right or wrong, there is no need to belabor a point into the ground.

I don't have the slan the moderators do when they state something is unkind. How do they know? They don't know the person and if it's meant to be unkind. Many just share thoughts and that doesn't mean they are unkind. All the happy clappy having your heads in the sand doesn't make for any intelligent sharing, just a bunch of lame posts. It's all about contorlling others here now.
