@SilleeMee wrote:In 1964 The Beatles came to Denver to perform at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. They stayed at the only hotel (for them) in Denver, The Brown Palace Hotel. The hotel has since commemorated their visit by naming the suite they stayed in, The Beatles Suite. Oh and the concert tickets sold for $6 and it did not sell out.
@SilleeMee Love that about the Beatles Suite! I cannot believe that concert didn't sell out!

I do remember my mom dancing around the house to their music on the transistor radio she kept on the kitchen counter! 📻 After that, I was hooked. I remember getting their Rubber Soul album for Christmas one year and I still have it to this day. There isn’t a song I don’t love! Saw Paul twice in concert few years back...it was Amazing.
I was 8 or 9 when they appeared on ed Sullivan. I was instantly in love.
I got Rubber Soul for xmas one year too. I still have it. I have also seen Paul twice. We must be sisters from another mother!
I doubt it.
OMG. it's an expression @Pearlee.
Are you completely devoid of a sense of humor today? 🙄
@Ms tyrion2 No, of course not. From your comment, I don't think you really understood my post. ![]()

I found out about The Beatles Suite from this PBS show I watched just a few days ago. In it they mentioned the concert.

I was 12 and watched all 3 shows on ES. I remember my dad saying " Wow, that kid (George) can really play the guitar!"
I have always said my love affair with Paul has been the longest of my life-I had the chance to tell him, on stage in Detroit 2011, that I had waited 47 years to meet him. Got hugs and a kiss, gave him a huge bouquet of flowers, and as I walked off stage he told the crowd "I've been waiting 47 years to do that"
I'll be in Raleigh NC in May to see him for the 29th time, and my 26th sound check-yay!
