I love them both however I cook them until they are completely soft and add real butter.

Beets go great through a straw, you can make all kinds of designs with them.  I learned this trick as a kid.

@A60_Chevy  My skin literally crawled.  The only thing I eat through a straw is Pixie Sticks.  Smiley Happy
