A national recall of frozen vegetables and fruit from stores in Maryland and elsewhere because of a serious and sometimes fatal contamination risk, has expanded to include Walmart's "Great Value" label and others.

CRF Frozen Foods of Pasco, WA, has expanded its voluntary recall of 15 frozen food items to include all “frozen organic and traditional fruits and vegetables” -- 358 in total -- labeled under 42 different brand names. The recalled lines include Walmart's store brand, a Trader Joe's label, Kirkland label sold in Costco stores, Safeway Kitchens labels, and Wild Oats lines, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The items that may be tainted have been sold in all 50 states and Canada. All affected products have best by or sell by dates between April 26, 2016, and April 26, 2018. The recall includes some 358 consumer products sold under 42 separate brand names.

i had a schwans food delivery today and had to return four bags of vegetables because they were on the recall list. thank goodness they make it easy to return and get a credit, even if the food has been partially eaten.

Massive Meat and Chicken Listeria Recall Includes Trader Joe's, Costco and Others

Listeria recall expanded to 47 million pounds of meat and poultry sold over past 2 years in Maryland and nationwide.

Approximately 47,112,256 pounds of not-ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes have been recalled from Costco, Trader Joe's and other stores, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced.

This action is being taken in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration because the recalled products contain vegetables that are part of the recent CRF Frozen Foods recall.

I'm really surprised Schwan's is still delivering the recalled food items!  Not good.

I just received an email from Whole Foods the other day.  It was a huge list of food items going back into last year!  Wha???

Couldn't they get the list out to customers in a more timely basis?  I guess not.

@Lucky Charm

they are not still delivering the recalled items.

i have had the vegetables in my freezer for maybe a month or more.

they will only start delivering the items again when it is safe to do so and when they have new inventory.

schwans is very proactive when it comes to these recalls. they have a record of what you bought and they usually send an email and give you a phone call. you give them back to your driver and they give you full credit, even on items where you may have used part of the bag.
