My bag is sitting by the mailbox today. Hope the USPS carrier will take it a day earlier to lighten his little truck load tomorrow! (We may also have rain tomorrow, which I'm trying to avoid.)

Mine is ready to go. I should have put it out today, rain tomorrow where I live too.

I called my post office today to find out if they are participating, they are. I only just got my postcard today, and no bag. I am the only one on my block who donates to the food drive.

No blue bags for us to fill up for the food drive, our Post Office has not participated in years. Also, our rural carriers would never pick up food and no box at post office even if you did want to give food. Such a shame, because our area has such need .

Our carrier picked up our food yesterday, as she had plenty of room for it in her small SUV.

Monday morning I will be at the local food bank to help check expiration dates and sort the food in the blue bags.

I'm not doing it this year for the first time, unfortunately.

I've had issues with my mail for about 3 months now.  $300 in gift cards are missing.  2 separate mailings.

And a check that was mailed out last Friday hasn't made it to me.  The check can be taken care of, which is an inconvenience for me, but the gift cards can't be 'stopped'.  Some bum got them. Thankfully, they were re-issued and I paid extra for tracking, unfair for me though.

The supervisor at my local post office just gave me the 877 number for the Postal Inspector last week.

I dread having to contact them, I just want my mail.  It's mine for me, no one else.

Totally unrelated to my carrier, but a gift card I sent out in January to my GS, never made it to him.  I purposely put it directly in a mail box at the post office.  Didn't matter, was never received.

In all my years, never had an issue.  Now, it's a big problem.   Don't trust my carrier with the food I put out.  And I don't trust someone who works inside my post office.

On our street we just leave the goods around the mailbox area.  I went to the store today and picked out a bunch of dry goods and can goods to fill three bags.  I never want anyone in America to be hungry! It is the least I can do. I am so grateful for my pantry being full.

@blackhole99  Does you grocery store have a barrel for the local Food Bank? Most of the grocery stores in our City do (usually located near the exit doors). I simply buy a few things each time I'm shopping, have them sacked into a seperate bag and drop that bag off as I leave the store. If keeping for Income Taxes, be sure to have it on a seperate check-out ticket for the IRS.
