I keep wondering why there seem to be so many more serious food allergies these days, than I can recall as I was growing up. Peanut allergies have been discussed here earlier today. But there seem to be so many others.
When I was growing up, we never seemed to give much thought to such things. I know I've had more than my share of PB&J. I can never recall my parents paying attention to the labels on food. My dad lived to be 88, my mom lived to 94.
Can anyone enlighten me as so why there seem to be so many serious allergies these days?
