Flying restrictions?

I am getting ready to fly this weekend, the first since 1996. I was wondering if there are size restrictions for the carry on bag. I have been on the computer looking at different websites but I couldn't find any information about it. I found the information about the liquiids. I know that they charge $25.00 for each bag. Any other information would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance!
