Florida winter rental

I am trying to figure out how to find an affordable winter rental in the Venice or Ft. Myers, Florida area. We're wondering whether we should drive down south & find a real estate person to help us, or try to do it online? We're in New Hampshire & I am tired of the cold! I think that once I get my husband down there, he will be happy....can you tell that I'm the one pushing for this change in our routine! I don't care if we find a mobile home in a nice park...that would be fine as long as it's clean etc. I chose the two places mentioned, because there seems to be more to do there. Any help would be appreciated. I should say that I'm talking about next winter & hopefully subsequent yrs. after. Also I'm thinking that we would like to stay for 8 weeks.
